March was kind of a hard month for me. A lot of things going on in the world, one year pandemic anniversary, stressful stuff about my thesis, etc. You get the idea. So obviously, I didn’t have very many blog posts haha. I wanted to let you know what I was up to this month though, so here’s a wrap up/look back for my March! I’m toying with the idea of including more than just book-focused posts in the future. So I’m going to be talking about other media in this post as well – I hope you enjoy it all!

I can’t remember where I saw this prompt – I really should have written it down right when I started drafting this post. Oh well. But anyway it was about listing your favorite authors from A-Z! A lot of my favs have names that begin with the same letter so it was fun to go through the books I’ve read and remember authors that I love but don’t talk about much, or ones whose books I read long ago. I’ll list their names and a little bit about which books of theirs I love!

Down in Atlanta, tempers – and temperatures – are about to flare…

I feel like urban fantasy gets a bad rap, yknow? Maybe it’s because of all the YA vampire novels that were so big around the Twilight era. Not that all of those were bad!! Or maybe it’s because they still don’t have the fancy covers that almost all other genres have now. However!! I have been really into the genre lately. We all know my love for Seanan McGuire and the October Daye series. Well, the Kate Daniels series is another favorite urban fantasy series – even though this book is only the second in the series!

You know what they say, April showers bring May flowers right? Well, regardless, New Jersey seems to be taking the “April showers” to heart because we’ve been having a lot of rain lately, and there’s a lot in the forecast. What a perfect time to talk about rainy day reads! Honestly for me anything is a rainy day read. I love being cozy inside with a candle and blanket, reading a book while it rains outside. But I’m gonna pick a few today that to me give off the vibe of a gloomy but ultimately happy day.
